Earmark Description: Funds will support the development and integration of software updates to the sonar systems installed on SSN 688, 688I, SEAWOLF, SSGN, and SSBN class submarines in order to maintain clear acoustical, tactical, and operational superiority over submarine and surface combatants in all scenarios through detection, classification, localization, and tracking. The APB process enables the rapid insertion of advanced development technologies into Fleet systems. Specific PEO SUB tasks include longevity demonstration, performance testing, performance regression testing, and system certification.
